Fountain Hills, AZ

I can't believe I'm searching the bottom of my clothes pile for the lightest, summeriest thing I can find and had to dig out my sandals. Ahhh, nothing like the desert.

We had a guest for breakfast this morning. . . . .

And here we are in Prescott.taking a hike

Before heading to Flagstaff for coffee

That guy above and the flag are standing at the bottom of the crater below.

We took a side trip to Barringer Meteor Crater

Oh my, those highways south are long and straight

Leaving Frisco

Our intent, when we left Frisco, was to go to Moab. We went to Fruita and spent the night in a great state park there and then south to Montrose to drop off some "stuff" and pick up some other "stuff." One of my VA pals said, "life is just moving 'stuff' from one place the the other." I think she is right, even when you are on the road. We decided instead of Moab to head over Lizard Head pass going south. The aspen was absolutely beautiful this late in the San Juans.

Hanging out with Quinn all weekend!

and his parents.

It's a big job cleaning up the leaves in Frisco!

Dessert and Baby Logan

Bread pudding - I "borrowed" the recipe from The Hearthstone restaurant in Breck - it was online at the Rocky Mountain News - only 12 eggs and 32 oz of heavy cream - but hey, Witt is worth it : - )!

Baby Logan is ready for some bread pudding!

And finally the birthday song, led by none other than L.T.

We gladly interrupt this trip to bring you Witt's Birthday

Our Frisco family

This is at David and Beth's "bird nest" house sitting at 9500+ feet overlooking the the Summit Valley - oh my, what a view. I could live in their kitchen!

We all pitched in to make home made ravioli - three fillings and it seemed like 100's of little round pasta circles. David directed the ravioli orchestra, Henry made martinis and pomagranite tonics and we all feasted on a most wonderful dinner.
